EMERGENCY HEALTH SERVICES MEDEVAQ was conceived in 1990 as an Emergency Medical System (EMS) consulting firm that developed and designed First-Responder programs, EMS systems, and coordinated the repatriation of the sick and injured back to North America using advanced life support and air ambulance services. Dr. Wasser’s background as a Paramedic and Emergency Medicine Physician at a University of Toronto teaching hospital enabled MEDEVAQ to draw on Canada’s finest physicians, paramedics, and nurses to develop a highly qualified and respected EMS consulting and provider group. As the doors began to open in Mainland China in the early 1990’s, MEDEVAQ was an invited guest of the Central Government of Mainland China in a private-public initiative to launch the first regional trauma center in Mainland China. The nineteen story modern trauma centre services 10 Million residents regionally and is situated in the economic development area and port city of Tien Jin.
